Frequently Asked Questions
1. What kind of SEND support is available for my child at the setting?
Following the Local authority Oxfordshire SEND local offer, we provide care and education working closely with our Level 3 qualified SENCO. Every child has a Plan and Outcomes document tailored to their needs - this document allows us to work in partnership with parents/primary caregivers and any relevant professionals to ensure the best outcomes.
2. What if my child has an allergy?
If your child has allergies, we gather all required information before they start to ensure we can have strict measures and controls in place. We carry out individual risk assessments to ensure everything has been planned for - these are reviewed with parents/primary caregivers and other professionals as required at regular intervals. Additionally, all staff have completed allergy and intolerance training.
3. How does pre-school support my child through toilet training?
We work closely with children who are toilet training to provide consistent practice with their home life. We support and use a range of methods once a child is ready.
4. What if my child still naps?
Children needing naps can be provided with a secure and removed space to achieve extra rest. Just let us know their needs and any extra requirements and we will do our best to accomodate them.
